Since graduating with her MFA from California
State University at Long Beach, Ruth Ann Anderson has built a successful
graphic and web design business. She began teaching in the Digital
Media Art Departments at both California State University in Northridge
and at Orange Coast Community College in Southern California, where
she continues to teach today. Ruth Ann's art and written work have
been featured in several art books highlighting noted women artists.
She has received numerous awards, grants and public art projects
and recently completed a life-size sculpture for the Metro Rail
system of Los Angeles. Her artistic concerns extend to social and
cultural issues and her work frequently reflects this. She currently
serves on the Board of Directors of the Woman's Building, an art
and cultural center in Los Angeles active from 1973-1991. Ruth Ann
is an exceptionally talented design educator, and she maintains
a web site featuring her student's work that is truly inspiring.
