Joseph Cancellaro

Joseph Cancellaro was the lead sound designer at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center in Poznan, Poland as well as an adjunct Professor of Music at the I.M Paderewski Poznan Academy of music, in Poland. In 1995 Joseph coordinated the NEXUS conference in Edinburgh, Scotland which presented research regarding the combined disciplines of architecture, music, sound, sacred geometry and mathematics. Joseph received a BM in Film Scoring and Composition from Berklee College of Music, an MM in Composition from the New England Conservatory of Music, and a Ph.D. in Composition from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He has been teaching since 1989 and is currently a full-time faculty member at Columbia College, Chicago. Joseph lives in the Western Suburbs of Chicago with his wife Monika and three children, Nastazja, Julia and Joseph.
