Behind
Black and White Photography 2E:
The
Black and White Photography book explains in clear and concise
language the processes and procedures to create successful,
high-quality black and white images. The book’s purpose
is to supplement classroom instruction and therefore it
has large amounts of white space included in its design
for taking notes. There are very few textbooks on photography
that have current photographers’ work as the illustrations.
Many tend to have examples that are uninteresting; that
is, they show the concept but are not stand- alone-strong
images in their own right. This book is profusely illustrated
with gallery- quality photographs of contemporary workers
in the field. The book is printed on very good paper stock,
and the images are duotones which result in excellent reproductions
of these images. – David Litschel
