Marc:
Marc Silver
has been creating innovative, award-winning websites and multimedia
software for the past 20 years. He has designed more than
200 web and multimedia applications used for education, marketing,
training, and entertainment. In addition, Marc invents and
designs interactive games for Palm and Pocket PC handheld
devices. Two of his most recent game concepts, Link Letters
and RoundUp, are distributed worldwide through Astraware Ltd.

Behind
Exploring Interface Design:
I look
to the web and multimedia software for powerful experiences
that cannot be duplicated in any other media. Unfortunately,
so many offerings fail to live up to the power that technology
has to offer. My goal has always been to create user experiences
that surprise and please audiences with their power and
clarity. I have developed an approach to creating such experiences
over the years that I think you will find practical and
straightforward to implement. Having honed this approach
on a wide variety of projects, I write this book hoping
to inspire my fellow designers to find and develop the best
within ourselves to better serve the users of the products
