Behind Exploring The Elements of Design:

Exploring The Elements of Design was conceived as a design basics book that relies exclusively on visuals from the design field to present principles and elements of visual organization. Chapter Three provides a very useful foundation and rationale for using color- it’s loaded with diagrams, graphic design, and illustrations that help to make the world of color a manageable aspect of design decision-making. A great feature of the book is the professional profiles of some of the country’s most notable and
“cutting-edge” designers. Seeing the student design and portfolio at the end of the book provides a benchmark for aspiring young designers. – Mark Thomas
