Exploring Storyboarding:
How
many times have you left a movie theater and thought wow,
how did they do that? I am always amazed at what it takes
to put a film together, whether it is the latest special
effects extravaganza such as Terminator 3 or an animated
film along the lines of Finding Nemo. As I tackled my first
film, I realized the importance of pre-production and storyboarding
your ideas. As I began teaching production classes I realized
the importance of a book that covers the process of creating
storyboards for film and animation. As more students enter
the fields of animation, video game design, digital video,
and film; they need to understand that a film is meticulously
planned, and the point of entry is usually the storyboard.
